Weather: Recent impact of monsoon wind expected to diminish

The weather remained generally to completely cloudy throughout the country in the last three days causing light to moderate rainfall in most places and even heavy/very heavy rain at few places.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Meteorological Forecasting Division said the incessant rainfall was due to the influence of the active monsoon wind and the existence of the monsoon low pressure system near the Tarai region.
