NA session: members present arguments for and against HoR dissolution

In a session of the National Assembly today, the Upper House aired mixed views in regard with the May 22 dissolution of the House of Representatives.

At the same time, some expressed their views in favour of the dissolution while some were against of it.

During the special session of the meeting, some welcomed the decision of going for fresh people’s mandate while some others were of the view that election only to be held in accordance with the constitution would safeguard and promote democracy and the election would just destroy democracy if it was conducted unconstitutionally.
