1,041 test positive, nine COVID-19 deaths reported Saturday

Nepal recorded 1,041 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, taking the national COVID-19 tally to 45,277.

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 348 females and 692 males tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

Similarly, 1,566 people who had earlier tested positive for the virus have recovered and returned home. So far, as many as 27,127 COVID-19 patients have recovered and returned home. This figure is 60 percent of the total COVID-19 cases in Nepal.
