Beema Samiti validates private lab’s PCR report for insurance claim

Beema Samiti- the insurance regulatory authority – has decided to pay the insurance coverage based on a PCR report issued by the private hospitals following protests from all quarters.

Earlier, the insurance company would pay the specified amount to the insured only based on the  PCR report issued by the government hospitals.

A meeting of the Beema Samiti held on Sunday amended the provisions validating the PCR report issued by the labs of private hospitals for insurance coverage. This provision is effective from today (September 14).
