Four Nepali women successfully scale Mt Annapurna

A group of climbers, including four Nepali women, scaled Mt Annapurna — the world’s tenth highest peak on Friday. Photographer Purnima Shrestha, Dawa Yangjum Sherpa, Mingma Tenji Sherpa and Mingma Gyalje Sherpa stood atop the peak (8,091m) at around 11:40 am. Along with the Sherpas, at least 44 climbers including seven Nepali women from four teams have reached the high camps of Mt Annapurna in the spring season, according to the Department of Tourism.
