Deuba sworn-in as prime minister at Shital Niwas

KATHMANDU- Newly-appointed Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has been sworn-in Tuesday evening.

He took the oath of office and secrecy at President’s Office, Shital Niwas.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath to Deuba, who is also president of the Nepali Congress (NC) and leader of the NC parliamentary party.

Deuba was ordered to be appointed by Supreme Court on Monday, giving verdict on a petition filed by 146 lawmakers, inlcuding Deuba. Meanwhile, the President’s Office has received flak for not mentioning the article concerned by which Deuba is appointed.
