Writ petition filed at SC against Home Ministry's statements

Kathmandu- A writ petition has been filed at Supreme Court against the press statements released recently by the Home Ministry.

Advocate Prabesh KC filed the writ petition at SC, arguing that the statements of the Home Ministry were against citizen's freedom of opinion and speech guaranteed by the constitution.

People are free to hold views on any development project based on its advantage and disadvantage, and they can not be forced to favour any issue, advocate KC asserted in the petition.
