Stellar orators announced in Dharan

Itahari- Stellar orators from various engineering colleges have been announced here recently. 
The topic of the oratory contest was 'Impact of Media in Nepali Society'. It was organized by All Nepal National Students Union (ANNFSU) Purwanchal Campus, Dharan. A total of 24 contestants participated in the online oratory contest open to the public. 

The contest had provisioned the contenders to send the maximum of 5-minute-long video. The marking was categorized into two sections- 30 percent from likes, comments and share in Facebook page of ANNFSU and the 70 percent from the marks allotted by panel of judges which included Santosh Kafle, the Galaxy 4K TV reporter from Sunsari and also the immediate vice-chairperson at FNJ Sunsari. Other judges were Birat Anupam, the RSS's senior stringer from Province-1. The competition was open from third week of Asar and the submission deadline was until Shrawan 2. 

Isha Hitang, Raj Ratan Jha, Yunika Gautam and Manisha Kraki were declared first, second, third and fourth respectively. Isha Hitang is Software Engineering Faculty's 2077 batch student from Nepal College of Information Technology, Lalitpur. 

Rajan Jha is Bachelors of Civil Engineering 2076 Batch student at TU-affiliated Institute of Engineering (IOE), Punwanchal Campus. Likewise, Yunika Gautam is Bachelor of Agricultural Engineering 2077 batch student from the IOE Purwanchal Campus and Manisha Karki is Bachelor of Civil Engineering 2076 batch student from the same college. 

Chairperson of ANNFSU Purwanchal Campus Committee, Roshan Bhattarai, said the contest was organized virtually to encourage engineering students for extracurricular activities and to embark on creative journey even in times of this pandemic. ''We are happy to receive overwhelming response from participants and other public as thousands of comments, likes and shared were ensued in social media platform'', observed Bhattarai.
