Kathmandu- Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Friday said the government's first responsibility is to save people’s lives from disasters. He directed the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority to be serious about saving people’s lives. He made this direction after inspecting the Authority office.
The Minister pledged to strengthen and manage additional budget and lands to build a building for the Authority.
On the occasion, Home Secretary Maheshwor Neupane stressed the need for the Authority to focus on the preparedness to reduce disaster risks.
The Authority Executive Chief Anil Pokharel informed about works, challenges and future roadmap of the Authority.
