Kathmandu-Sri Lanka direct flight begins today

Kathmandu- The Sri Lankan Airlines is launching a direct flight from Kathmandu to Sri Lanka from today. Spokesperson at Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), Raj Kumar Chhetri, informed that Sri Lankan Airlines was allowed for the Kathmandu-Sri Lanka flight twice a week. 

He further said the airlines had applied for the aviation permit for the summer season till September 4. The company would also apply for further flight permission by observing the situation, he added.

It has shown interest to conduct flight at the Gautam Buddha International Airport which is under construction in Bhairahawa.
