Testing of the tunnel of the Melamchi Drinking Water Project has been started by filling water in the 26.5-kilometer tunnel.

Officials have shared that entire technical and other necessary preparations were completed for the tunnel test.

A tunnel test has been conducted at the Melamchi site by organizing a formal program at the project site Melamchi.

Spokesperson of the Melamchi Drinking Water Development Committee Rajendra Pant said the test began in the presence of Minister for Drinking Water Mani Thapa and lawmaker Sher Bahadur Tamang.
