'We are legitimate NCP'-Chairperson Dahal

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has claimed them the legitimate NCP. Welcoming to the new entrants, including NCP (Chand Group) leader Deepak Adhikari to NCP amidst a programme at the party central office today, chairperson Prachanda said that they were the legitimate force based on the strength of numbers in the central committee and parliamentary party. Expressing pleasure for the Netra Bikram Chand Group adopting peaceful path, he said, "Long back I had publicly stated they would come to peaceful mainstream. Now they have become a part of the peace. I welcome them to our party". The emergence of people's wave across the country following the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR), people's unprecedented support against regressive move and people's rally have also established them as the legitimate force, he asserted. Nepali people emerged victorious with the Supreme Court decision to scrap the House dissolution move, he said, adding it has brought new dimension to the politics. "Leaders and cadres joining the party from Chand Group would be entrusted with appropriate responsibilities", chairperson Prachanda committed. Also speaking on the occasion, NCP's another chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal termed the apex court decision as a historical since it has paved the way for taking the country politics and the constitution to a right path. Though their struggle for party's name and election symbol is continuing, there is no need for any force to show greed for this, he added. Leader Nepal also urged Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to show morality by tendering resignation as it is the last chance for him. As many as 250 leaders and cadres of Chand Group had joined NCP under the leadership of Adhikari.
