Melamchi River and Melamchi Bazaar after the floods on Jun 15 (Photo Feature)

Five people have died and 400 families have been displaced due to floods and landslides in Sindhupalchowk district after incessant rains on Jun 15. In all, 337 houses and 60 cowsheds, six motorable bridges and 13 suspension bridges have been washed away.

Similarly, the police post building at Kiul Bagar in Helambu-2 has been attacked and two school buildings (Saraswati Higher Secondary School, Helambu and Terse Higher Secondary School, Talamarang) are at high risk.
